BMW 5 Series (G30)

After an extended period of anticipation, the revamped luxury G30 BMW 5 Series has been formally unveiled in Malaysia. It is also available amongst luxury car rental malaysia. As previously communicated, the renewed executive sedan is now accessible in both the 530e plug-in hybrid and 530i variants, both of which come standard with the M Sport package. Pricing for the domestically assembled models falls within the range of RM317,534 for the 530e M Sport and RM368,122 for the 530i M Sport. These prices include on-the-road expenses but exclude insurance. Additionally, the prices incorporate the exemption from sales and service tax (SST) and come with the standard two-year, unlimited-mileage warranty. But worry not, we provide attractive daily rates for you at Kayman Luxury Car Rental Petaling Jaya.

When accounting for the extended five-year warranty and the complimentary scheduled service package, the prices are adjusted to RM334,354 for the 530e and RM384,942 for the 530i. These revised prices are significantly more economical than previous estimations. While they do denote a marginal increase compared to the outgoing models, this uptick can be attributed primarily to the enhanced array of equipment, a topic we will delve further into.

The model's specification available at luxury car rental selangor includes Life Cycle Impulse (LCI), the term BMW uses for a facelift, introduces several enhancements to the exterior. Notably, there's a fresh front fascia featuring a more angular double kidney grille. The proportions of the two grille openings remain roughly consistent with the previous design (eschewing the exaggerated proportions seen in recent models), accompanied by reshaped headlights featuring L-shaped daytime running lights. At the rear, newly designed three-dimensional taillights incorporate C-shaped graphics.

Distinguishing the 530i is the inclusion of more advanced Laserlights, a novel feature in the 5 Series, recognizable by their blue illuminated "eyebrows" instead of white. The 530i also boasts satin aluminum finishing on the side window frames and Air Breather vents.

Internally, there are relatively few changes, except for recalibrated steering wheel controls, gloss black buttons on the center console, redesigned seats for heightened comfort, a revamped 12.3-inch instrument display, and an expanded 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen that is two inches larger than its predecessor. Operating on the BMW Operating System 7.0, this system showcases larger tiles, supports over-the-air updates, and incorporates the Intelligent Personal Assistant voice control.

The 530e and 530i share similar interiors, both featuring an M Sport steering wheel, M side sill scuff plates, and M alloy pedals. Moreover, they offer power-adjustable sports seats with driver's side memory, Dakota leather upholstery, Smoke Grey Aluminium Rhombicle trim, and a black headliner.

Both vehicles come equipped with the Parking Assistant Plus system, featuring a 360-degree camera setup and a three-dimensional view that can be accessed remotely—an impressive upgrade from the previous reverse camera setup. The 530i boasts some additional features, such as a sunroof, a head-up display, and a 16-speaker, 464-watt Harman Kardon sound system (while the 530e is equipped with the 12-speaker, 205-watt BMW HiFi system).

Other standard equipment remains consistent and includes keyless entry, push-button start, four-zone automatic climate control, a powered rear windscreen, manual side window sunshades, automatic lights and wipers, auto-dimming mirrors, adaptive dampers, and a hands-free powered bootlid. In terms of safety, both models include the Driving Assistant package, encompassing autonomous emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. The 530i comes with the added feature of adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, a feature previously offered on the initial imported batch of the pre-facelifted G30 but later removed from the CKD models.
